Swedish famous alternative metalcore outfit Imminence’s most succesful album, Heaven In Hiding – groundbreaking “violincore”.

Sweden’s Imminence have become one of Europe’s most compelling forces in modern metal, fusing emotional intensity with symphonic scale. Fronted by vocalist and violinist Eddie Berg, alongside Harald Barrett (guitar), Alex Arnoldsson (guitar), Christian Hijer (bass), and Peter Hanstrm (drums), the band has built a signature sound that blends soaring string arrangements and cinematic textures with metalcore’s visceral energy–earning them a devoted international following.

Their breakthrough releases This Is Goodbye (2017) and Turn the Light On (2019) established Imminence as a new benchmark for emotional authenticity and artistic ambition within the genre. Turn the Light On reached the German Album Top 100 and launched a nearly sold-out European tour, confirming the group’s arrival as major headliners. Their music explores internal conflict, depression, and hope, often framed as a confrontation between light and darkness–mirroring Berg’s introspective lyricism and the band’s orchestral grandeur.

With Heaven in Hiding, Imminence push their artistry even further. The album channels the raw emotion of Berg’s haunting vocals and violin through a cinematic lens, intertwining with the crushing precision of Barrett and Arnoldsson’s guitars, the atmospheric drive of Hijer’s bass, and Hanstrm’s thunderous percussion. Tracks such as “Temptation,” “Alleviate,” and the title song balance vulnerability with fury, revealing a band comfortable in both beauty and chaos.

Heaven in Hiding is both an act of catharsis and a declaration of creative identity–a monumental achievement that situates Imminence alongside innovators like Bad Omens, Currents, and Make Them Suffer while preserving a voice entirely their own. The Limited “Liquid Galaxy” vinyl edition offers collectors a stunning visual complement to the album’s emotional scope and sonic depth.
