as time explodes: CD

Shortly after the release of Neil Young & the Chrome Hearts album Talkin To The Trees in June 2025, the band embarked on a 31-date tour of Europe and North America. The music on their new live album from that tour – as time explodes, captures all of the abilities theyve found playing together and responding to the songs and each other.

as time explodes explores the history of Youngs songs from his entire catalog. Its a journey through time in the modern age. And by freeing themselves from the past, they can perform some of the most exciting songs of a storied history, always showing how the present sounds, redefining the past and presenting it in the here and now.

When theyre tearing into the evolution of time with songs like Harvest Moon, Ohio, Cortez the Killer, offering new thrills to Like a Hurricane or After the Gold Rush or completely showing modernitys splitting apart on Big Crime, Neil Young and The Chrome Hearts have captured what it means to turn music into a universally shared emotional experience. This is what drives Young forward.
