Condition

Here’s a UK Mercury pressing of Rod Stewart’s career-defining third album, the one that launched him into international stardom and proved he could balance his Faces commitments with a solo career that actually mattered. “Every Picture Tells A Story” captures Stewart at his absolute peak – that gravelly voice perfectly suited to the album’s mix of folk storytelling, blues swagger, and rock & roll abandon. The title track and “Maggie May” became defining songs of the early 70s, but the real magic here lies in how Stewart and his band weave together influences from Bob Dylan’s narrative folk, the Rolling Stones’ bluesy crunch, and traditional British folk music into something uniquely compelling.
